Mom's handsome little man!

BEST FRIENDS FOREVER!!!
Aunt Calli often comes over to help me with the babies, and the babies LOVE it when she is over. She is such a help to me, and Connor and Mckenna just adore her. She can get them to laugh and smile so easily. We love you aunt Calli!

What happens when dad cooks dinner!:) love u babe!:)

Connor LOVES the dishwasher. Anytime I open it to do the dishes he dashes for it like a dog after a bone. He loves to try to take the silverware and dishes and throw them on the floor, to stand up holding on to the basket, or even to try and climb in the the dishwasher. Trouble, trouble, trouble! We love that boy!
The kids playing together and laughing with our neighbor "auntie Kristi". Kristi is such a great neighbor. Not only is she a great friend, she comes over to watch and play with the kids so Eric and I can take a break. We are so spoiled.:)
One of my good friend's Randa came over and brought her cute daughter Macy over to visit the other day. Mckenna seems to LOVE kids and other babies. From the moment Macy was here every time Mckenna would look at her she would start smiling and laughing.

Lots of pics

Our little sweetheart!

How laundry gets done in our house!

OUr crazy fun loving boy! Everytime I try to take a pic he always tries to grab the camera and almost never smiles! (even though he is almost always smiling)

Mckenna always likes to point her pointer finger when sucking her thumb! So funny!

More Pics!

Sooo sleepy! Mckenna fell asleep in her play saucer!

Big blue eyes!

When Mckenna was sick before her hospital stay she was soo sad and wanted to be held by momma 24/7. This can be a a little tricky when you have twins! I was trying to find anything I could to keep Connor happy and busy, so i could help kenna. One particular moment I was holding kenna who was throwing up and crying, and connor wanted mom at the same time. Out of desperation I looked around trying to figure out how i could console him and her at the same time, and that is when i remembered that we had chocolate cake! I know that is a terrible thing to do as a mother, to console your kid with cake, but hey sometimes you just have to get through the moment! It worked of course. He LOVED the chocolate cake and it kept him busy and happy for almost a half an hour. I only gave him a piece smaller than the size of a credit card. How can the get so little cake EVERYWHERE?! The cake made it look like he a beard and lots of facial hair by the time he was done. lol.

This girl sure LOVES her daddy! And he loves her even more!

Busy babies!!

Mckenna's hospital stay

Mckenna was admitted to the hospital for four days last week. She was in a lot of pain, and after two separate visits to urgent care, where they just mis-diagnosed her with the flu, (and when her fever reached 105), we knew something was really wrong and took her to the ER instead. Karisa called me from work, and I met her at the hospital where Mckenna was treated for a kidney infection. She stayed in the hospital for four days and didn't like it one bit!! She has grade three kidney reflux on her right side, and grade two on her left. It is treatable, but requires a lot of antibiotics and a possible surgery in the near future. We'll see... after all she's been through within the last year, this is nothing she can't overcome as well.

Connor and Mckenna re-united in the hospital crib

Mommy comforting Mckenna prior to taking her to the hospital

She loved to take a ride in her hospital car. Since the hospital was short on beds, they had Mckenna stay on the oncology floor, where there were lots of toys to play with when she started feeling better!

Soo tired!
Soo sad! Poor little girl hated the hospital. She would scream and almost have a panic attack anytime someone besides mom or dad came into the room. She also said dada for the first time several times at the hospital, usually when they were doing a procedure. It was like she knew who her protector was and was calling out for dada to save her. So sweet and so sad.
You can't stop him; you can only hope to contain him

Halloween 2010!! Mommy found some sweet cow outfits for the little ones.

More pics... finally!!

Doesn't he look happy!!

Updates!

Wow, it has been FOREVER since we have updated our blog. It is soo crazy to me how incredibly fast time passes. Now that we have kids it feels like everyday just flies by. Soo...we have many updates for our kids in the last three months. They are doing so great and have grown in so many ways lately. They now are sitting on their own, crawling, laughing, babbling, and starting to pull up on things. They are also starting to really interact with each other, and it is really fun to see their relationship grow.

Mckenna is our little sweetheart and will melt your heart with her sweet disposition and soft voice. She loves for mama to hold and carry her around the house. She also has a unique sense of humor, and the most random things will make her laugh. Her laugh is so cute, airy and quiet. You mainly know she is laughing by seeing her belly move and looking at her face. She also loves her brother. He can almost always make her laugh just by looking at her. She loves to follow him around the house and join in on whatever trouble he is getting into. She is also so forgiving to him and will still smile and want to be around him when he climbs all over her, pulls her down, or knocks her over.
Mckenna has also had a really hard last month. She has been sick four times, has had two er visits, 3 urgent care visits and a four day hospital stay. Poor girl has been through more in her short life than most people have been through in a lifetime. Her patience and endurance amazes us!
Mckenna is now an impressive 14 pounds and 26 inches. She has started crawling and pulling up on things. She is starting to babble a little bit more, and just said her first word, "dada." She also blows raspberrys when she is upset, and growls at you if she is really upset, in pain, or frustrated. She also got her first two teeth, little white dots that have started to pop through her bottom gums in front! We can't believe how fast she is growing up!

Connor is our fun-loving crazy boy, who brings so much excitment and fun to our house. He is now a whopping 17 pounds and 28 inches tall. We were also very excited to find out that he now has made it on the growth chart for his age! Of course he is in the bottom 15 percent for everything, but hey at least he is on it now! Maybe daddy's dream of him becoming an NBA star will come true.:)

If there is one word to describe Connor it is "busy." Life is an adventure for Connor. He is so busy and constantly on the move, he cant stop exploring and discovering things. If you even try to change is diaper, hold him, or get him to stay still for even a second, he will turn, kick, scream, and do anything he can to get away from you so he can start exploring again. A diaper change must be accompanied by a toy that he can hold to divert his attention from getting away.

Connor's favorite things to do are to try to climb and explore things... the stairs, the dishwasher, the toilet... you name it. If we open the dishwasher, he makes a beeline for it like a dog going after a fallen crumb. He also likes to sneak into the bathroom and standup holding on to the toilet and beat it like a drum. If he is taking a bath he loves to stand up and then immediately plop down again and again to make the biggest splash he can. Connor will also dump any trash can within his reach and scatter the contents all over the floor taking a taste test of anything and everything that looks interesting. He loves to get in my cabinets where I keep all my tupperware and pots and he likes to scatter them all over the floor. Connor also loves his sister, but unfortunately for mckenna he likes to show that love by tackling her and laughing or some other sort of rough play or torture.
As far as milestones go, Connor is crawling and is starting to get really fast. He also loves to stand and pulls up on anything that he can possibly find to help him stand. Connor also said his first word, "mama," for the first time about three weeks ago, and won't stop saying it. "mama" means mama, dada, "I want food," "I'm frustrated," "I'm tired," or anything else. Sometimes he just babbles "mom-mom-mom -mama-mama-mama as he crawls around on the ground.
